Les Schwab Diaper Drive 2025
16th Annual Les Schwab Tire Centers Diaper Drive Begins April 1, 2025!
Presented by Roth’s Fresh Markets and UNFI
Les Schwab Tire Centers is celebrating 16 years of hosting an annual diaper drive benefiting children and families in our community. This remarkable initiative is held each year in April in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month and has provided families with over 500,000 diapers since its inception! One of the greatest challenges families with young children partnering with Family Building Blocks face is diaper insecurity.
Diaper insecurity happens when families cannot afford enough diapers to keep babies and toddlers clean, dry, and healthy. If a family doesn’t have access to diapers, their child cannot attend childcare. And if a child cannot attend childcare, that often means parents cannot go to work. When we as a community provide diapers to local families in need, we are also supporting the economic health of our region.
During the month of April, diapers can be donated at any Les Schwab Tire Center in Salem, Dallas, Independence, Sublimity, and Woodburn. Other “drop-sites” include AAA Oregon/Idaho, Ace Hardware – West and East Salem, City of Dallas, City of Independence, Dallas Glass, Beyrouty Employee Benefits, Divine Distillers, Encore Glass, Fidelity National Title in Salem, First American Title in Dallas, Marion Berries Baseball, MINET, Oregon State Credit Union in West Salem, Ray of Hope Thrift Store in Woodburn, Salem Electric, ServiceMaster, Stayton Library, T-Mobile, The Pink Elephant, Urban Grange Coffee, Valley Credit Union, WaFed Bank in West Salem, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Willamette Valley Fiber, Salem-area schools including Claggett, Crossler, CTEC, Englewood, Hammond, Parrish, Waldo, Walker, West High, and Dallas Community School, and Regis St. Mary Catholic School in Stayton.
Patrons of Les Schwab Tire Centers also have the opportunity to purchase diapers directly from Les Schwab for this diaper drive. The need is great. Family Building Blocks changes over 60,000 diapers each year and distributes emergency diaper kits to parents who are unable to purchase diapers for their children.
Grand Finale Diaper Delivery
On Friday, May 9 at 10:00 AM, all drop-sites will deliver thousands of diapers to Family Building Blocks at Helen’s Place (180 18th St NE, Salem, OR 97301) – an incredible sight! We invite media to attend and participate.
