What is COPE? (Spanish)
COPE is a one-time, four-hour seminar provided for parents who are going through divorce or separation.
The seminar is oriented toward how to help your children through the divorce and providing parenting strategies for after the divorce takes place. This seminar is required for both parents by the Marion County courts. Although it is court-mandated for most parents that attend, anyone may register for this class.
We know that divorce/separation can be a difficult time for all involved. We also know that parents’ actions and decisions profoundly affect how well a child adjusts to the changes.
Parents will leave the seminar feeling like they have more tools for helping their children to thrive and be happy during this transition.

Scholarships for Women:
As a result of donated funds through an individual’s trust, partial scholarships to offset the cost of COPE class fees are available for women only. Participants will need to show proof they are on TANF, SNAP, or Disability. Documentation can be brought in on the day of the class. Your remaining responsibility after receiving the scholarship is $10, which must be paid before the class. Note: Because of the donor’s specific instructions, these funds are only available for women.
